The name "Mercedes-Benz" or the local traditional name "Benz car" is so common to us all... and even to kids who have just started walking. The name Mercedes-Benz is actually much older than us all, who happen to read this. Its 110years old to be precise.
The car i bring you all today is this 2009 model Mercedes-Benz C-Class 200 known as the C200 W204.
The car i bring you all today is this 2009 model Mercedes-Benz C-Class 200 known as the C200 W204.
We arrived at the location where i decided to do the shoot...
The very famous Mercedes-Benz logo... still doesn't look outdated!
As i said earlier this is a C200...
Avantgarde S... the "S" stands for something special, which i will show you all soon.
AMG the tuning house for Mercedes-Benz... thus the logo is there for a reason.
Moving over to the front i was intrigued by this..... although you will only notice the rather big logo poking out of the front grill when you stand in front of it...
but at a distance it doesn't show that much.
you got to love the lights.... after all they are made to be loved right :)
then theres the side of the car.... notice all the contour lines the body has got?? starting all the way from the front....
... to the rear.
The reason for the AMG logo at the rear is coz of the full AMG bodykit that graces the car.
I bet if this car was put on a model ramp.... it would put all the Ms/Mrs Worlds to shame ;)

Now you have to love that rear....
how often do you see a car smile at you from behind.... seeing this on one of those hectic/frustrating days while your stuck in traffic is sure to bring a smile upon your face. I think the Joker had something to do with the rear design of this car... as he always wanted to put a smile on peoples faces (in a good way)
Heres a closer look at the body lines of the car... stretching all the way from the front.....
.... to the back.
Notice the cross drilled disk brakes with Mercedes-Benz marked calipers.
In the wheel & tire department up front is 17" AMG wheels with 225/45R17 Potenza RE050A rubber & at....
the back is 17" AMG wheels with 245/40R17 Potenza RE050A rubber.
Now for the interior department.. as usual everything looks within reach for the driver.
the big round knob switch is for the headlights... controls the high beam/low beam.
Then theres the steering wheel.... all equipped with the needed buttons for the suited businessman who will have everything he needs at his fingertips... theres the call answer button, call disconnect button, mute button, volume control buttons, voice command button... & on the other side theres the navigation buttons for the in-car main menu system...
analog speedometer/rpm meter and digital odor meter/information display.
As soon as you start the car you are greeted by this...... it does it to just remind you that you are in a Mercedes-Benz. This is in fact the in-car main menu system... which has the radio, video, navigation & telephone connectivity feature.
A bit below is the in dash radio with the video, navigation & telephone connectivity buttons.
then theres the smooth Mercedes gear knob... which lets you control all the momentum the car is capable of.
Interior finish is top notch.... everything is in their right place where they are needed.
The rear seats.
In total the car has got 16 way speakers from harman/kardon which has being in business for more than 50 years.
Now lets check the engine department...
Power comes courtesy from a Mercedes-Benz M271 engine....
which is a supercharged 1800cc with 181 hp (135 kW) @ 5800rpm & 250nm of torque @ 3000rpm.
theres the supercharger.... this is the reason for that special "S" in the Avantgarde S logo that you saw above....
Too bad the German flag wasnt in the back ground... but still this car stands out so proud. Now lets see...
.... how it looks out in the open road....
Notice the hiace doing a drift around the round about with its body rolling on one side.... lol

hows the look on the face....??? i guess thats what you call ride in style :)
W204 in motion....
theres those "3 wheels of steel across sri lanka" waiting for an opportunity to either get in some cars way or get in some photographers way just to ruin what would have been a nice shot... :D

Baby Benz whizzing past.
Time soon flew and it was time to leave... i kinda like this shot although you might disagree coz the whole car isn't in the picture.... but if your wondering why i put it up.... just look a bit behind the merc and notice whos driving that blue mini.... its a lady! i guess its good timing on my part... and no i am not trying to praise my self...
On the way back traffic was like an on and off situation.... and i finally got a chance of getting a pic of 58kmph on a busy road... definitely a step up from the last 29kmph shot.
.... all the while listening to the radio station that kisses their listeners with their music.
The owner looks like he's at home chilling.
Just before i thanked the owner and left the car.........
.... these guys wanted to try out something........
... yes yes they wanted to check the "Traction Control" on a wet tiled surface.... :)
Finally to wrap this feature.... No matter where you put this car... it will always have its presence and people will definitely feel its presence.
I would like to thank the owner Arquid Salim for giving me the time and opportunity to do the shoot of the car.
Hope you all enjoyed this... stay tuned for more.
Cheers
